Job summary

Novo Nordisk A/S in Cambridge, MA is seeking an experienced leader for Global Business Development and Strategy to identify external partnerships, collaborations and potential acquisitions. You will evaluate opportunities end-to-end, conduct due diligence, and negotiate agreements across diabetes, obesity, CV, CKD and related areas.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, engage with biotech and pharma communities, and travel as needed to drive strategic initiatives on a global scale.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in business or life sciences required; medical degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in R&D business development or equivalent.
• Proven project management skills and cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Identify novel pipeline assets and enabling technologies for external opportunities.
• Lead in-depth evaluation and due diligence on potential partnerships or acquisitions.
• Establish Novo as a preferred partner in relevant therapy areas.
• Support licensing and collaboration negotiations in alignment with SE&I.
• Collaborate with R&D, Commercial and cross-organizational stakeholders.
• Build and maintain external BD opportunity landscapes.
• Engage with venture capital, biotech firms and large-cap pharma networks.
• Represent Novo at partnering events and scientific conferences.
