Business Development Director – Army & Marine Corps Programs

A leading Defense Contractor is seeking a Business Development Director to drive new growth across U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps accounts. This role focuses on identifying and qualifying federal opportunities, shaping pipeline strategy, and supporting successful captures in collaboration with proposal and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and qualify new business across DoD sectors
• Build and manage a strategic BD pipeline
• Engage with senior-level government and industry partners
• Lead and support proposal development and teaming efforts
• Contribute to pricing strategy, market analysis, and capture execution
• Travel up to 30–50% as needed

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (technical preferred)

10+ years of BD/capture experience in DoD markets

Experience with IDIQs, MACs, TOs, and standalone contracts

Strong industry teaming and proposal leadership background

Excellent communication and executive presence

Secret clearance preferred

Bonus: Experience with Army & USMC pursuits, IAC MAC, OASIS, BAAs, or OTAs.
