Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Director of Business Development for USSOCOM to drive long‑term capture for multi‑year defense programs. You will build deep relationships with end users, primes, OEMs, and PM offices to shape requirements and align Silvus MN‑MIMO technology with customer needs.

The role supports up to 50% travel and offers flexible, remote work depending on location, with compensation in the $180k–$200k base range plus strong upside.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years in defense sales or business development focused on USSOCOM.
• Proven track record of capturing complex, long-cycle DoD programs.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for government clearances.
• Background check and drug test clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the capture process for large, multi-year SOCOM programs.
• Build deep relationships with buying influences across Program Offices, primes, OEMs, and end-users.
• Shape requirements with customers to position Silvus MN-MIMO technology as a core solution.
• Manage full lifecycle of long-cycle pursuits from horizon scanning to proposal and award.
• Collaborate with Market Development Executive and Account Sales for a smooth transition to execution.
• Monitor market trends, competitor actions, and funding priorities to inform strategy.
