Job summary

Golden 1 Credit Union is seeking a Director of Analytics and Risk for Consumer Lending in Sacramento. You will lead enterprise credit risk management, overseeing portfolio performance, risk exposure, and policy effectiveness while guiding underwriting, pricing, and lending strategies.

Lead a team of analytics professionals, drive data-driven decisions, build controls, and ensure compliance with relevant laws.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent work experience.
10+ years as a lender or in credit risk analytics at a financial institution.

Responsibilities

Understand, evaluate and direct Golden 1’s credit products, underwriting, related lending policies, risk profile, portfolio and product concentration risks.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and leadership to a team of analytics/risk associates, fostering a collaborative, engaging, and innovative work environment.
Promote skill development and positive employee morale aligned with Golden 1’s mission, vision and core values.
Responsible for ensuring the creation, implementation and reevaluation of best practice credit risk-related procedures and policies.
Perform risk reviews as needed for member products and services.
Contribute to enhancing loan policies as needed to fulfill credit risk functions and goals.
Monitor and evaluate ongoing performance of custom score (AI) models used in the loan decisioning process.
Maintain a thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to credit union compliance.
