Job summary

Golden 1 Credit Union seeks a detail-oriented Governance Analyst to strengthen controls, improve processes, and support regulatory compliance. You will translate data into actionable insights, collaborate across teams, and help align Service Operations with governance standards and regulatory expectations.

You will participate in risk assessments, document controls, and support issue mitigation while working under the Operations Governance Supervisor.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
5+ years of related experience with risk, governance and compliance disciplines.
3+ years of QA/issue management or project management experience, preferably in financial institutions.
Experience in financial institutions strongly encouraged/required.

Responsibilities

Participate in formal risk assessments across business areas under supervision.
Assist in developing risk assessments and document key controls with stakeholders.
Identify improvement opportunities and elevate enterprise-wide risk management responsibilities.
Track open issues, mitigation status, and supporting documentation for resolution.
Design and implement programs for record retention, complaints management, and disclosure reviews to ensure regulatory compliance.
