Job summary

Golden 1 Credit Union is seeking a Governance Analyst to strengthen controls, enhance processes, and support regulatory compliance within Service Operations. This role collaborates across teams to translate data into actionable risk insights and ensure governance alignment with organizational objectives.

The analyst will participate in risk assessments, support auditors, and help implement programs for record retention, complaints management, and disclosure reviews to meet regulatory

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience with emphasis on risk, governance, and regulatory compliance.
• 3+ years of QA/issue management/gap mitigation/project management experience, preferably in financial institutions.
• Experience in related financial institution experience strongly encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Participate in formal risk assessments assigned to the business areas.
• Assist in new risk assessment development as required by internal and external auditors.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in Service Operations related to risk management.
• Elevate risk management to an enterprise-wide responsibility and drive accountability.
• Assist in open issue mitigation by tracking status and organizing documents.
