Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Director of Software Engineering to lead a high-ownership, AI-native platform team responsible for the Software Defined Branch and next-gen Retail Event Management systems. You will guide strategy, architecture, and delivery across enterprise-scale platforms, partnering with executives to drive impact and innovation.

Qualifications

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience.
5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage complex items within your domain.
Experience leading cross-functional teams of technologists.
Experience adopting agentic AI-enabled engineering practices across teams with defined operating expectations.
Strong understanding of responsible AI use and governance in engineering workflows.
Experience building and operating enterprise-scale platforms with high availability.

Responsibilities

Leads technology and process implementations to achieve technology objectives.
Accountable for decisions influencing resources, budget, and procedures.
Sets direction for AI-enabled engineering and SDLC automation within a technical area.
Improves value from automation and supports capacity unlock initiatives at scale.
