Travere Therapeutics seeks an experienced Director, Nephrology Research to lead renal biology initiatives and translational strategies within the Research & Nonclinical Development group.

The role drives program concepts, validates targets, and partners with academia, biotech, and CROs to translate discoveries into clinically actionable therapies while guiding development plans and IND readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science or related discipline required; PhD/MD/PharmD preferred.
• 10+ years of biopharma experience; or 6+ years with advanced degree.
• Expertise in kidney biology and nephrology drug discovery; translate biology into therapeutic hypotheses.

Responsibilities

• Define Travere's nephrology research strategy and portfolio.
• Lead nephrology programs from concept through IND readiness.
• Oversee external collaborations with academic labs, biotech partners, and CROs.
