Job summary

Travere Therapeutics is seeking a Director, Nephrology Research to lead strategy and execution in rare kidney diseases. You will identify opportunities, translate biology into therapeutic concepts, and drive programs from concept to IND readiness.

External collaboration with academic labs, CROs, and biotech partners is essential. The role requires deep renal biology expertise, leadership in translational science, and the ability to shape candidate selection, pharmacology and biomarker strategies

Qualifications

• Advanced degree with strong expertise in kidney biology and nephrology drug discovery.
• Experience translating disease biology into therapeutic hypotheses.
• Proven ability to lead research collaborations with CROs and academia.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute nephrology research strategy and portfolio.
• Lead translational research from concept to IND readiness.
• Manage external collaborations with labs, biotech partners and CROs.
• Develop translational strategies linking mechanism to potential clinical outcomes.
