Job summary
Travere Therapeutics is seeking an experienced Director, Nephrology Research to lead the nephrology research strategy within the Research and Nonclinical Development organization. The role focuses on translating renal biology and disease biology into differentiated programs and IND-ready plans, coordinating internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; PhD/MD/PharmD preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in kidney biology, renal physiology, nephrology drug discovery, or related mechanisms.
- Experience leading research collaborations with CROs, academic labs, or biotech partners.
- Experience advancing programs from concept through preclinical development and IND readiness.
Responsibilities
- Define Travere's nephrology research strategy and portfolio for rare kidney diseases.
- Lead translational research and program leadership from concept to IND readiness.
- Manage external collaborations with academia, CROs, and biotech partners.
- Evaluate external opportunities and conduct scientific due diligence for licensing or collaborations.
- Represent Travere in scientific meetings and drive tissue and biomarker translational strategies.
