Job summary

Travere Therapeutics is seeking a Director of Nephrology Research to lead strategy and translational efforts for rare kidney diseases. You will oversee programs from early concept through IND readiness, guiding target validation, pharmacology, biomarkers, and development planning.

You will manage collaborations with academics, biotech partners, CROs, and internal teams to align translational science with therapeutic hypotheses and candidate selection.

Qualifications

• PhD/MD/PharmD or equivalent preferred with life sciences background.
• 10+ years in biopharma; or 6+ years with advanced degree.
• Expertise in kidney biology and nephrology drug discovery; translate biology into programs.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute nephrology research strategy and portfolio.
• Lead translational research from concept through IND readiness.
• Manage internal/external collaborations with CROs and academia.
• Develop translational strategies linking mechanism to clinical outcomes.
