Raytheon, the U.S. aerospace and defense leader, seeks a Director of Program Management to lead the Ship Systems Integration & Sustainment portfolio at the Tewksbury, MA facility.

This role oversees a $450M annual portfolio, 70+ active contracts exceeding $3B in funded value, and a dispersed team of 600+ professionals across nine sites. The position requires an active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience leading large-scale defense portfolios and programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic execution, customer engagement, and long‑range planning for the SSIS portfolio.
• Manage performance across engineering, depot, production, sustainment, modernization, and fleet‑emergent operations.
• Oversee proposal activity (> $500M annually), drive strategy aligned with Navy mission needs, develop talent, and interface with senior Navy leadership (O‑6/O‑7).
• Work closely with the NSS Vice President and other members of the NSS team on leadership tasks including short- and long-term goal setting; long‑range financial planning; and organizational development.
• Program Leader responsible for execution, staff development, and cross‑portfolio engagement to meet cost and schedule commitments.
• Execute with Integrated Product Team Leads (IPTLs) and lead engineering staff across multiple functions to improve efficiency with actionable metrics.
