Job summary

RTX’s Naval Systems & Sustainment (NSS) seeks a Director of Program Management to lead the Ship Systems Integration & Sustainment portfolio from onsite Tewksbury, MA. The role oversees a $450M annual portfolio, 70+ contracts and a 600-strong team across nine sites, driving sustainment, modernization, and fleet readiness.

You will shape strategy, engage Navy leadership, mentor staff, and ensure cost and schedule commitments through EVMS and IPT leadership, with frequent travel.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent with 12–14 years in PM roles.
• Experience managing cost, schedule, and technical performance with EVMS and EACs.
• Proven proposal leadership and capture experience.
• Leadership of cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and contracts.
• Experience reporting program metrics to senior leadership.
• Previous program management experience at scale.
• Experience leading or managing teams directly or indirectly.
• PM Level 2 Certification or ability to obtain within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic execution and long-range planning for the SSIS portfolio.
• Manage performance across engineering, depot, production, sustainment, and fleet operations.
• Oversee proposals and drive strategy aligned with Navy needs.
• Collaborate with Navy leadership and Raytheon NSS team on goals and financial planning.
• Lead IPTs and engineers to improve efficiency with actionable metrics.
• Interface with Navy program offices to guide program direction.
• Report status to senior leadership and advocate for portfolio needs.
• Travel 30-50% as needed.
