Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to support Naval Radar programs. You will lead cross-functional teams, develop test plans, and troubleshoot complex hardware-software-systems challenges. The role requires coordinating with customers and internal teams to ensure robust system performance and verification across real‑world environments.

Onsite at RTX facilities in MA, travel up to 10% may be required. A DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship are prerequisites for start date.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and eight+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience integrating military systems in software, systems hardware, requirements, integration, or test.
• Engineering leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive performance across functions and manage schedule execution for program elements.
• Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration and verification docs.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and systems issues via data analysis and debugging.
• Utilize modeling and simulation to predict system performance and support verification.
• Integrate hardware and software into tactical systems and evaluate functionality.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams for seamless integration and system functionality.
• Document integration plans, analyze data, verify requirements and communicate results to leadership.
• Conduct statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data to ensure best system performance.
• Decompose and track specifications throughout complex system architectures.
