Job summary

The Standard is seeking a Director of TBM Strategy and Planning to partner with IT and business leaders. This role drives cost optimisation, operating expense analysis, and strategic insights to inform IT strategy and transformation decisions.

You will lead project work across enterprise initiatives, manage a team, and communicate findings to AVPs and Senior Directors. Responsibilities include establishing TBM capabilities, developing business cases, and presenting results to executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, MIS, Business Analytics or Operations Research.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 8–10 years progressive Finance, Strategy or Management Consulting experience.
• Experience leading high performance teams with accountability for executing strategic initiatives.
• Experience leading high visibility projects at a top-tier consulting firm or strategy group of a technology-driven company is preferred.
• Prior TBM or CIO advisory work.
• Knowledge of Strategic IT Planning and Financial Management practices such as budgeting, cost allocations, capital and operating expense handling, and product roadmaps or funding models.
• Familiarity with TBM concepts and Apptio is preferred.
• Strong project management and organisational skills; ability to influence and present persuasively.

Responsibilities

• Lead a professional staff to enable TBM services and vendor governance.
• Promote dialogue with IT and Business leaders to inform technology strategy and cost structure.
• Lead definition and business case development for Cost Optimisation roadmaps.
• Oversee development of strategic communications and vendor analyses.
• Develop TBM analytics and reporting linking management to business strategies.
