Job summary

MetLife’s Global Technology team is seeking a seasoned TBM Finance professional to lead technology cost management, budgeting and reporting. You will own TBM taxonomy, service costing, chargeback/showback, and deliver executive dashboards that translate IT spend into business value.

Hybrid role with strong collaboration across Infrastructure, App Dev, Finance and IT leadership. You’ll leverage Apptio, Power BI and Excel to enable transparency, drive cost efficiency, and support strategic

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, information technology, business, or related field.
• 7+ years of TBM/IT Finance/ITFM/FinOps experience.
• Strong accounting, financial planning, forecasting, and reporting experience.
• Deep understanding of TBM taxonomy, service costing, allocations, chargeback/showback, and cost transparency.
• Experience analyzing technology infrastructure, cloud, applications, and shared services costs.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data reconciliation skills.
• Ability to communicate complex financial/technical concepts to Finance and Technology leadership.
• Experience creating executive presentations, dashboards, and decision-support materials.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve the TBM framework and related models (costing, chargeback/showback, allocation).
• Develop and maintain technology cost models covering infrastructure, apps, cloud, and shared services costs.
• Lead annual planning, forecasting, and financial analysis to support IT investments.
• Analyze tech spending, cost drivers, and service demand to identify optimization opportunities.
• Support technology billing, allocations, reconciliations, variance analysis and controls for transparency.
• Deliver executive reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and actionable insights from financial/tech data.
• Partner with Infrastructure, App Dev, Service Owners, Finance, and IT leaders to align funding strategies.
• Conduct benchmark analyses to evaluate cost/value delivery across TBM domains.
• Establish governance/documentation for TBM reporting, planning and financial management.
• Serve as TBM SME helping stakeholders understand tech spend vs business value.
• Drive automation of TBM reporting and analytics.
