Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Director of IT Program Management for the Enterprise Infrastructure PMO. This role guides high-visibility technology initiatives, partnering with senior leaders to ensure governance, delivery excellence, and timely outcomes.

You will lead complex programs, manage dependencies, and optimize operating models while applying portfolio management practices. This is a nationwide remote role with travel to the HQ in Central Ohio as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading complex technology programs or strategic initiatives with measurable outcomes.
• Ability to influence across matrixed organizations without direct authority.
• Strong business, financial, and operational acumen.
• Experience presenting to and engaging with senior executives.
• Familiarity with enterprise portfolio management tools and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-critical initiatives with executive visibility and broad impact.
• Own initiative health, drive decisions, accountability, and momentum.
• Coordinate across business and tech teams, identifying dependencies and risks.
• Establish structure and governance as processes evolve.
• Provide leadership to project and program managers across workstreams.
• Influence leaders and external partners to remove obstacles and drive outcomes.
• Deliver actionable recommendations and strategic solutions.
• Communicate initiative health, risks, decisions, and opportunities to senior leaders.
• Improve execution by establishing sustainable delivery practices.
