LaunchDarkly is seeking a strategic, execution-focused Director of Internal AI Operations to scale AI as a business capability. You will define operational objectives, processes, and roadmaps, partnering with leaders across functions to turn AI into measurable value.

The role emphasizes governance, policy, and cross-functional collaboration to improve adoption, efficiency, and ROI. As part of the leadership team, you will manage AI tool portfolios, oversee vendor relationships and cost

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership experience in AI/technology operations and governance.
• Proven track record designing operating models across functions with measurable outcomes.
• Experience managing an enterprise portfolio of AI tools, vendors, and spend.
• Strong financial and data-driven mindset with ability to define ROI and business value metrics.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain AI spend and usage visibility; report on metrics.
• Maintain AI tools inventory and governance standards.
• Lead Internal AI Feature Review process with cross-functional inputs.
• Develop and maintain Internal AI Policy with Legal and Security.
• Track AI roadmap, migrations, and platform dependencies.
• Collaborate with technology teams on new AI product initiatives.
• Define and audit access, data controls, and vendor risk.
• Own Internal AI communications calendar and policy-change communications.
• Coordinate AI CoEs cadence and artifacts.
