Job Description
Position Summary:
The Director of Human Resources is a strategic partner and member of the leadership team and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources management within the organization.
This role involves developing and implementing HR strategies that promote and protect the company’s and employee interests while ensuring compliance with all relevant state and federal laws and fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in all areas of human resources management in a mid-size manufacturing company with a strong ability to partner with leadership and employees to align HR operations with business needs. This position reports into the President.
LOCATION: This position is located at the company’s West Boylston, MA headquarters.
Strategic Leadership and Planning: Including development and implementation of HR strategies, providing opinion in employment law matters, driving an ever-improving, inclusive, and productive culture at all levels. Create and analyze operational metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain knowledge of industry best practices, communicating regulatory changes to leadership.
Recruitment, Retention, and Development: Oversee recruitment and hiring. Manage the “employee lifecycle,” overseeing the Performance Management process and all employee discipline and separations. Maintain an effective compensation program with data-driven benchmark data. Develop and execute leadership development, training, and succession planning to build a robust talent pipeline. Provide strategic and tactical support for employee relations, offering coaching and advice on people-related strategies.
HR Operations, Administration, and Compliance: Manage HR policies and procedures, oversee payroll and benefits administration (backing up the administrator as required), implement and manage HR systems and technologies.
Safety, Environmental, and Health: Oversee all safety and compliance initiatives.
Education, Skills, and Experience:
· Education and Experience: Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience of 8 – 10 years of human resources management experience with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role. Ideal candidate will have experience at a mid-size manufacturing company.

· Supervisory Responsibilities: One direct report: HR Administrator/payroll coordinator.
