Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. is seeking a Director HR & WP Affiliate Governance to lead governance across HR & WP policies for affiliates in the NA region, with a focus on M&A activities. The role sits in Herndon, VA, with substantial travel and a hybrid work arrangement.

You will partner with regional leaders, legal teams and COEs to ensure regulatory compliance, implement governance frameworks, and support executive-level initiatives across the HR and Workplace domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Advanced degree (MBA or Masters in HRM or related field) preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in HR, legal or related fields required.
• Experience supporting Executive level leaders required.
• Experience with legal and compliance preferred.
• Experience with executive compensation and mobility preferred.
• Demonstrated success implementing large scale programs / projects.

Responsibilities

• Supports Affiliates with implementing HR and workplace strategies aligned with the NA HR&WP strategy.
• Serves as a trusted advisor to Leadership in the region and central organizations on employment laws, HR and Workplace policies.
• Develops strong partnership with M&A and Affiliate Governance Central Organizations.
• Conducts regular meetings with regional Affiliates HR&WP representatives and HO HRs to provide guidance.
• Develops and leverages an effective HR & WP affiliate governance and monitoring framework with COEs.
• Analyzes trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
• Ensures regulatory and compliance risks are assessed and mitigated.
• Collaborates with Country Employment Lawyers to ensure policies comply with labor laws.
• Engages in industry benchmarking for HR Affiliate governance.
• Acts as an M&A focal point for HR&WP in the region for mergers/acquisitions/divestitures.
• Supports M&A due diligence with NA HR&WP evaluations.
• Tailors risk mitigation for the region.
