Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Director in the Healthcare Industry Group (HIG) to lead engagements spanning M&A diligence, integrations, and separations for healthcare clients. The role demands directing teams, developing value hypotheses, and delivering actionable insights to executives.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage project scope and profitability, and mentor junior staff while engaging with c-suite stakeholders across the firm’s healthcare portfolio.

Qualifications

• Minimum eight (8) years of healthcare consulting or healthcare operations experience.
• Experience with M&A transactions and/or healthcare operations.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Visio, Tableau/Power BI, SQL, SPSS; benchmarking is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team as director, overseeing end-to-end delivery of complex assignments.
• Develop hypotheses on value levers in M&A transactions based on industry experience and client specifics.
• Conduct interviews with senior client and target stakeholders.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify value creation opportunities.
• Support Day 1 planning, operating model definition, and transaction execution initiatives.
• Manage engagement economics, budgeting, and timely billing.
