Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Director in the Healthcare Industry Group to lead a team delivering end-to-end M&A diligence, integration planning, and value realization for healthcare clients. You will drive interviews, data analyses, and client communications while mentoring junior staff.

The role requires deep healthcare operations knowledge, strong financial modeling, and proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and related tools. Travel as needed is expected.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of healthcare consulting or healthcare operations experience.
• Experience with M&A transactions and/or healthcare operations.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and financial modeling.
• Ability to manage client engagements, deliverables and teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead clients and internal teams through full M&A lifecycle including diligence, carve-outs, integration planning.
• Develop hypotheses on value levers based on industry experience.
• Conduct interviews with senior stakeholders.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify value.
• Plan Day 1 operations and transaction execution initiatives.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities and optimize org structures.
• Improve client tracking tools and KPIs; monitor performance.
• Budgeting, billing, and engagement economics management; ensure profitability.
• Engage with clients at a senior level and provide high-quality updates.
