Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) Healthcare Industry Group seeks a Director to lead complex M&A diligence, integrations and separations for healthcare clients. You will manage end-to-end delivery, oversee interview activities, data gathering, modeling, and client communications, guiding junior staff and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of healthcare consulting or healthcare operations experience.
• Experience with M&A transactions and/or healthcare operations.
• Ability to work in high-pressure environments with tight timelines.
• Identify key operational performance drivers and adapt to a broad range of clients.
• Manage client engagements, deliverables and workstreams while mentoring junior staff.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with all levels of client personnel.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and financial modeling skills; build synergy, standalone and overall M&A deal models.

Responsibilities

• Lead clients and internal teams through the full M&A lifecycle, including due diligence, carve-outs and integration planning.
• Develop hypotheses on value levers from industry experience and client specifics.
• Conduct interviews with senior client and target stakeholders.
• Rapidly analyze financial and operational data to identify value opportunities.
• Plan Day 1 operating model and transaction execution initiatives.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities and improved organizational structures.
• Improve client tracking tools and KPIs to measure performance.
• Oversee engagement economics, budgeting, and timely billing and collections.
