Job summary

DoorDash seeks a Director to lead Global Mobility & Immigration (GMI) within the Global People Operations organization. You will own GMI’s strategy, operating model, and end-to-end performance, ensuring compliance, scalability, and business alignment across our brand ecosystem.

You’ll lead a globally distributed team, partner with Legal, Talent Acquisition, and People Partners, and balance compliance with growth to build a unified GMI system for M&A readiness and seamless employee experiences.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive global mobility/immigration experience, including leadership of teams and strategy across multiple jurisdictions.
• Proven ability to build or scale a global mobility/immigration function or operating model in a multinational, fast-paced environment.
• Strong cross-cultural fluency and change-management experience with globally distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive GMI’s global strategy and priorities aligned with People Operations and business strategy.
• Evolve a single, scalable global GMI operating model across brands.
• Lead and develop pillar leaders; foster collaboration and accountability across a distributed team.
• Own vendor strategy; evaluate, negotiate, and consolidate immigration/relocation vendors to optimize cost and quality.
• Drive process improvement and a technology roadmap to streamline intake, visa filing, and relocation workflows.
• Serve as final escalation point for high-risk mobility/immigration issues and trusted advisor to Legal and senior leadership.
