Job summary

AstraZeneca in Boston seeks a Director, IT Business Partner for Global Medical Affairs. You will lead the technology strategy for the Rare Disease Unit, partnering with Medical leadership to shape a forward-looking AI-enabled technology roadmap that supports scientific engagement and patient outcomes while ensuring compliance with GxP, privacy, and security.

You will drive digital transformation, manage large global programs, and advance responsible AI adoption with Governance, Data & AI,

Qualifications

Twelve+ years of technology leadership in pharma/biotech with Medical Affairs or related area.
Experience leading large, complex projects in a global, matrixed organization.
Strong business and technology acumen with regulated enterprise tech experience.
Working knowledge of Generative AI and Predictive AI, with governance and value realization.
Executive stakeholder management and change leadership in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

Act as trusted advisor to Global Medical Affairs leadership and translate strategy into tech initiatives.
Build and maintain a Medical IT roadmap aligned with RDU priorities and enterprise IT.
Lead delivery of Medical IT projects with data integration, process improvement, and compliance.
Develop business cases and communicate value to enable technology investments.
Drive AI initiatives, including governance, pilots, and scale with measurable value.
Ensure responsible AI delivery with privacy, security, and GxP considerations.
