Job summary

AstraZeneca is seeking a Director of AI Product Development for Medical Affairs to lead GenAI and ML-powered solutions across Oncology, BioPharma, and Rare Disease. You will define roadmaps, drive cross-functional execution, and measure business impact for headquarters and field teams.

You will partner with Medical leadership, Medical Informatics, Evidence Generation, and Communications to translate scientific insights into actionable products, while upholding governance and responsible AI

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a quantitative or scientific discipline.
• 7+ years building and shipping data science or AI products.
• 3+ years in Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences with Medical Affairs exposure.
• Experience owning an AI product end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Own the full AI product lifecycle: definition through measurement.
• Lead GenAI and agentic AI product development for Medical Affairs.
• Translate high-value medical use cases into product requirements.
• Partner with IT and delivery leads to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Set the product roadmap and priorities across BUs.
