AstraZeneca seeks an Associate Director, Advanced Medical Analytics, to lead data-driven analytics strategy across US Medical Affairs. You will drive AI/ML, Real-World Data solutions, and digital modernization, partnering with USMA, Global R&D, and Commercial teams to speed clinical trials and enhance medical engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in quantitative or life sciences field.
• 3+ years delivering advanced analytics in biopharma, biotech, or life sciences consulting.
• Experience guiding technical project squads deploying AI/ML in enterprise workflows.
• Proven data science solutions across medical, commercial, or clinical development functions.
• Strong expertise in ML, GenAI, and NLP for healthcare data.
• Fluent with cloud ecosystems and modern data stacks (Python, SQL, Databricks, AWS, SageMaker, Git).

Responsibilities

• Drive digital innovation and embed AI into business workflows in collaboration with partners.
• Guide technical analytics squads to build scalable AI capabilities for USMA operations.
• Coordinate triage and follow-through of deployed solutions with end users in a SCRUM-like approach.
• Scale and maintain analytics products across franchises within USMA.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to translate business challenges into analytical solutions.
• Manage product backlog, sprint execution, and quality standards for medical analytics tools.
