Job summary

Blattner seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer – Gas Power Generation to oversee electrical engineering for utility-scale gas power projects from proposal through construction and commissioning. You will provide technical leadership, set engineering standards, mentor engineers, and ensure designs are safe, reliable, and compliant with industry codes and client requirements.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited EE degree required.
• PE license required or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
• 7+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience in power generation or related projects.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering execution from estimating through construction support and project closeout.
• Develop preliminary electrical designs for proposals with emphasis on reliability and constructability.
• Lead Basis of Design development and technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review electrical diagrams, protection schemes, grounding, and layouts to ensure quality and compliance.
• Coordinate engineering activities with project teams, utilities, and EOR partners.
• Support equipment selection, procurement, and submittal reviews.
• Lead constructability reviews and risk assessments to improve execution and competitiveness.
• Mentor Engineer I/II and CAD Designers in best practices.
• Drive electrical design standards and continuous improvement across Blattner’s gas power portfolio.
