Job Summary
The Director of Educational Outreach, under general direction,directs the educational outreach programs by providing leadershipand. developing, supporting, and evaluating programs, services, andpersonnel to ensure alignment with departmental and institutionalmissions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Initiates and implements program marketing strategies andrecommendations.
- Oversees budgetary design and fiscal operations. Managesadministration functions..
- Serves as workshop presenter or institutional representative atprofessional conferences, educational outreach meetings,educational institutions, and community activities and events.
- Collaborates in development and management to support outreach,community, and youth programs.
- Interfaces with educational community through collaboration andpromotion of programs with key administrators, community leaders,community organizations, and professional teaching programs.
- Initiates growth and development strategies by cultivating andexpanding existing education/community relationships anddevelopment opportunities through grants and solicitation offunding from private, government, foundation, and civicsources.
- Collaborates with applicable departments in support ofundergraduate student recruiting initiatives.
- Promotes and enhances relationships with faculty, graduatestudents, and external educators to ensure quality ofprogramming.

Minimum Requirements
- Education - Bachelor's degree in Business, Education,Humanities, Social Sciences, Communication, or PublicAdministration.
- Experience - Ten years of related experience.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may beconsidered.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Master's degree in related field (Business, Education,Humanities, Social Sciences, Communication, or PublicAdministration).
- Experience in K-12 and/or higher education.
- Experience working with grants.
- Experience in working with students, staff, and administratorsin K-12
- Experience in working with grants.
Knowledge and Abilities
Knowledge of:
- Word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
Ability to:
- Multitask and work cooperatively with others.
- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong public speaking, organizational, leadership, and supervisory skills.
- Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment.
Preferred Knowledge and Abilities
- Must possess strong interpersonal and networking skills tointeract and work collaboratively and professionally with internaland external constituents.
- Must possess strong time-management skills and multi-task,prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Work independently and with initiative.
- Communicate effectively in English and Spanish.
