Job summary

The ALS Association is seeking a mission-driven professional to manage Walk to Defeat ALS and other revenue opportunities. As Director of Development, you’ll lead fundraising efforts across Missouri, Illinois, Indiana and potentially other states, building strong supporter relationships to advance programs and services.

You will supervise staff, cultivate partnerships, develop engagement strategies, and analyze data to forecast revenue. This role offers a remote work setup from the St.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 3-5 years of nonprofit development experience with 1-2 years of management preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Organized with strong prioritization and attention to detail.
• Flexible and adaptable; good team player.
• Experience in special event fundraising and securing sponsors/teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of fundraising staff across 3 states.
• Oversee Walk to Defeat ALS and Distinguished Events; develop strategies to drive revenue.
• Cultivate and manage event relationships to maximize fundraising and awareness.
• Develop engagement and fundraising strategies; manage budgets and donations.
• Grow corporate partnerships including prospecting, proposals, and stewardship.
• Represent the association at community events to raise awareness and support.
• Collaborate on presentations and fundraising materials for outreach activities.
• Analyze fundraising data to forecast revenue and identify opportunities.
