Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector is seeking a Director Business Development 2 to shape and execute growth strategy for the Weapon Systems Division. This role leads capture and BD activities across a portfolio of programs, builds strong customer relationships, and drives winning strategies aligned to division objectives.

Preferred location is northern Virginia; other locations may be discussed. Requires 15+ years in BD/capture in defense or aerospace, international DoD experience, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
• 15+ years in BD, capture management, or PM in defense/aerospace.
• International experience with DoD/government; ITAR/offets knowledge.
• Awards and pipeline growth leading at OU and BU levels.
• Experience leading complex captures or growth initiatives in weapons/missiles.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret SCI clearance.
• Strong strategic thinking, communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive BD growth strategy for the Weapon Systems Division.
• Lead capture and BD activities across multiple programs and pursuits.
• Build and sustain strong customer relationships with key stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Communications to craft narratives across stakeholder engagements.
• Lead cross‑functional teams and drive win strategies for proposals.
• Monitor market trends and investment priorities to inform portfolio strategy.
