Job summary

Crusoe is seeking a Director of Finance to lead financial analytics and project costing for the data center build portfolio, partnering with Construction and Development to understand costs and drive capital efficiency.

The role sets cost structures, forecasts, and reporting across projects and translates construction data into actionable insights for leadership. Strong modeling and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in construction finance, project controls, capital projects accounting, or project finance
• Experience managing budgets, cost reporting, and draw processes on large capital projects ($100M+).
• Familiarity with construction loan agreements, draw/funding mechanics, and lender requirements
• Knowledge of GC/EPC contract structures, change orders, and construction risk allocation
• Experience managing operating budgets and cost performance for live facilities (data centers preferred)
• Understanding how design and procurement choices affect long-term operating costs
• Strong financial modeling and analysis skills; proficient in cost-tracking tools
• Experience leading multiple concurrent projects/sites in a fast-growth environment

Responsibilities

• Develop a consistent cost taxonomy and analytical framework across data center builds (e.g., $/MW, $/kW)
• Own the framework for Estimate at Completion (EAC) and forecast changes
• Analyze cost variance against budget, baseline estimates, and benchmarks
• Build the financial view of construction economics and capital efficiency
• Improve early-stage project estimates through collaboration with estimating and engineering
• Create portfolio-level visibility and standardized reporting for leadership
• Translate EACs and schedules into reliable capital and cash forecasts
• Provide financial analysis for design changes, procurement decisions, and contracts
• Define data sources, ownership, controls, and reporting architecture for cost analytics
