Job summary

Crusoe, a leader in AI infrastructure, seeks a Director of Finance to lead financial analytics and project costing for the data center build portfolio. You will partner with Construction, Development, Procurement, and project controls to drive cost insight from early estimates through completion.

You will establish cost structures, benchmarks, and forecasting methodologies, translating detailed construction data into actionable leadership insights while building a cost intelligence capability

Qualifications

• 8+ years in construction finance, project controls, capital projects accounting, or project finance.
• Experience managing budgets, cost reporting, and draw processes on large capital projects (>$100M).
• Knowledge of construction loan agreements, draw/funding mechanics, and lender requirements.
• Understanding GC/EPC contracts, change orders, and construction risk allocation.
• Experience with operating budgets for live facilities, ideally data centers.
• Ability to translate design/equipment decisions into operating cost implications.
• Strong financial modeling and ability to maintain cost-tracking tools across build and operate phases.
• Experience managing multiple projects/sites in a fast-growth environment.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration with construction, operations, lenders, and internal finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop a consistent cost taxonomy and framework across data center builds ($/MW, $/kW, by site/region).
• Own cost forecasting and EAC processes with project teams.
• Analyze variance against budgets and baseline estimates to identify driver causes.
• Build economics viewpoint linking cost, schedule, MW delivery, and design decisions.
• Partner with estimating and procurement to improve early-stage project estimates.
• Create portfolio-level visibility of cost trends and forecast changes for leadership.
• Translate EACs and schedules into capital and cash-spend forecasts for planning.
• Provide financial analysis for major design changes, contracts, and schedule accelerations.
• Define data ownership and reporting architecture for project cost analytics.
