Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking a Director of Development (Data Center Construction) to lead complex, multi-site data center projects from design through delivery. You’ll coordinate with Sales, Operations, and Development to ensure client requirements are aligned with budget and schedule.

The role emphasizes strategic project management, risk mitigation, and cross-functional leadership across a growth-focused environment. Expect travel and interaction with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or professional licenses in Construction Management or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Architecture.
• Ten or more years of progressive responsibility in development of Mission Critical Facilities.
• Five or more years of responsibility of data center project construction with large-scale data centers or DC lease providers.
• Be able to travel as needed for the business.

Responsibilities

• Manage the customer deployment project delivery for each sold deal within each QTS location.
• Coordinate with the QTS Property Development team, and supporting specialty consultants, to support customer’s design needs, pricing, customer approvals, & implementation of specific deployment scopes.
• Manage the delivery of these projects, aligning clients’ objectives, business processes, vendor management strategies, and cross-group collaboration across QTS.
