Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking a Senior Director, Development (Data Center Construction) to lead complex, large-scale deployment projects across locations, coordinating with Property Development, Sales, Operations, and customers to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. The role requires extensive experience in mission-critical facilities, strong leadership, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or professional licenses in Construction Management or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Architecture.
• Ten or more years of progressive responsibility in development of Mission Critical Facilities.
• Five or more years of responsibility of data center project construction with large-scale data centers or DC lease providers.
• Be able to travel as needed for the business.

Responsibilities

• Manage the customer deployment project delivery for each sold deal within each QTS location.
• Coordinate with the QTS Property Development team, and supporting specialty consultants, to support customer’s design needs, pricing, customer approvals, & implementation of specific deployment scopes.
• Manage the delivery of these projects, this position aligns clients’ objectives, business processes, vendor management strategies, and cross-group collaboration efforts across the QTS organization.
• Drive effective client relationship management and efficient cost management, with the ultimate goal of delivering the project on time and on budget.
• Serve as a single contact for Federal sales support on potential secured deals.
