Job summary

FNBO is seeking a Director of Data & AI Management and Governance to lead the design and implementation of comprehensive data and AI governance frameworks. This role balances risk with strategic value, coordinating with Compliance, Risk Management, and Information Security to ensure regulatory alignment.

The ideal candidate will lead a multi-disciplinary team, drive the AI governance program, manage risk impacts of AI use cases, and promote data quality and literacy across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of technology leadership with data, AI and risk management experience.
• Experience in regulated environments with proven results.
• Experience in Data Management or Data Governance roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of data, AI governance and risk management frameworks.
• Chair the Generative AI Steering Group and manage intake, risk assessments and approvals for AI use cases.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Risk Management and Information Security to align governance with regulatory obligations.
• Oversee teams supporting Data Governance, Data Management and AI practices and processes.
• Drive customer data strategy, data quality, and maturity in cataloging and tagging data assets.
• Develop AI literacy campaigns and measurement of maturity and progress.
• Engage with industry groups to stay ahead of regulatory expectations.
