Job summary

Northwest seeks an AI Governance Officer to administer the bank's enterprise AI governance framework and oversee AI use cases throughout their lifecycle. The role ensures risk-based governance decisions, regulatory alignment, and cross-functional coordination across the institution.

As part of the Model Risk team, you will quantify risks, support model approvals, and contribute to the governance practices and training to drive responsible innovation with transparency and accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in risk management, business, economics, statistics, mathematics, information systems, computer science, law, or related discipline.
• Master's degree in risk management, business, economics, statistics, mathematics, information systems, computer science, law, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead administration of the enterprise AI risk governance framework and coordinate across business lines.
• Coordinate intake, assessment, and governance for proposed AI use cases and classify solutions.
• Serve as coordinator for the AI Working Group with agendas, materials, and action tracking.
• Maintain AI use case inventory and governance records; monitor compliance and escalate issues.
• Develop reporting and dashboards on AI inventory, approvals, issues, and risks; ensure regulatory alignment.
