First National Bank of Omaha seeks a Director of Data & AI Management and Governance to lead the development of governance frameworks enabling responsible data activation and AI adoption, while balancing risk and strategic growth.

The role chairs the Generative AI Steering Group, collaborates with Compliance, Risk Management and Information Security, and drives improvements across the enterprise to ensure transparency and trust in data assets and AI use cases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of technology leadership in data/AI and risk management.
• Experience in regulated environments and proven results.
• Experience in Data Management or Data Governance roles.
• Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts into business terms.
• Experience with financial forecasting and budgeting practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and grow assigned team supporting Data Governance, Data Management and AI practices.
• Enable Archer AI Governance Module and integrate use case intake, scoring and model details.
• Chair the Generative AI Steering Group and manage intake, risk assessments and approval decisions for new AI use cases.
• Partner with Compliance, Risk Management and Information Security to align governance with regulatory obligations.
• Drive ongoing improvements to governance frameworks through industry engagement.
