Job summary

FNBO seeks a Director of Data & AI Management and Governance to lead the development of governance frameworks enabling responsible data activation and AI adoption, while balancing risk management and strategic growth.

You will chair the Generative AI Steering Group, oversee data quality initiatives, and partner with Compliance, Risk Management, and Information Security to ensure regulatory alignment and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience leading in regulated environments.
• Data Governance or Data Management experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication to explain tech in business terms.
• Experience with financial forecasting and budgeting practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the team supporting Data Governance, Data Management and AI practices.
• Chairs Generative AI Steering Group and manages risk assessments for new use cases.
• Collaborate with AI development teams on Observability and Evaluations of AI capabilities.
• Drive Customer Data strategy with data quality and progress visibility.
• Mature data asset cataloging and tagging.
• Develop AI and Data Literacy campaigns and best practices.
• Coordinate with Compliance, Risk Management, and Information Security on governance controls.
• Interface with regulators and auditors as needed.
• Engage with industry groups to understand regulatory expectations.
• Review vendor AI roadmaps for transparency and alignment.
