Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Director Customer Logistics to oversee operations management, safety, and financial performance for multiple warehouse locations.

You will guide location managers, deploy Lean principles, and drive continuous improvement while expanding services for existing customers. The role requires senior level leadership, P&L accountability, and the ability to develop strategic accounts, including potential new business development and cross-functional collaboration across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain or related field.
• Eight years or more logistics/supply chain experience in multiple locations (plants, warehouses, hubs).
• Five years or more P&L responsibility including forecasting and managing financial targets.
• Six years or more managing, leading and developing direct reports.
• Six years or more managing large multi-level teams.
• Five years or more prior Lean implementation experience.
• Four years or more managing customer KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with customer(s) at a regional or corporate level based on operational execution and value creation.
• Forecast, plan, manage and ensure assigned accounts meet defined financial targets. Develop and implement mitigation plans as necessary.
• Manage operations to meet or exceed internal and external KPIs. Lead account(s) during peak seasons, special projects, and implementations.
• Identify expansion opportunities with current customer(s). May participate in business development for new customers.
• Monitor and uphold a safety culture that meets annual targets and ensure Lean principles deployment.
• Hire, train, guide and supervise Group Logistics Managers to meet the requirements of the positions within the accounts.
