Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Senior Manager Logistics to lead the Distribution Center and supervise warehousing and transportation solutions, maintaining direct customer interaction on a regular basis.

The role emphasizes strategic planning, LEAN initiatives, strong leadership, P&L awareness, and safety program leadership within a Fortune 500 logistics environment. Excellent communication and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred.
• Master's degree in Business, Logistics, Transportation or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interface directly with the customer to ensure issues are resolved promptly and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Strategic operational planning and execution for the operation.
• Identify and solve operational issues with LEAN initiatives to strengthen team unity, productivity and results.
• Hire, supervise, develop and manage performance for employees and maintain positive relations.
• Lead a proactive safety program and ensure location safety management plans are followed.
