Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with Master's preferred or JD, or equivalent experience.
• Typically, a minimum of 10 years related work experience in claims or legal contexts.
• Latent injury or high-severity general liability claims experience strongly preferred.
• Must obtain/maintain Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days of hire where applicable.
• Skilled negotiator with strong analytical and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assess coverage obligations by analyzing policy language and advising written determinations.
• Manage inventory of the most complex commercial claims with multi-year exposure.
• Lead negotiations, manage settlements, and coordinate with counsel on litigation.
• Set and manage reserves considering coverage, liability, and damages.
• Present high-exposure matters to senior leadership and external partners.
• Mentor and train less experienced Claim Professionals.
