Job summary

You will drive performance, provide strategic direction on coverage and litigation, and partner with Underwriting, Actuary, Reinsurance and Legal to deliver superior results while maintaining regulatory compliance and a focus on customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; JD or advanced degree preferred.
• Typically 10+ years of related experience with 3+ years of management.
• Certifications or professional designations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads the work activities of medium to high severity specialized Claims Professionals with management responsibilities.
• Oversees development, performance management and employee engagement.
• Provides oversight on complex coverage issues and litigation strategy.
• Partners with Underwriting, Actuary, Reinsurance, Legal, and other stakeholders.
• Drives profitability by managing costs, vendors, and claim resolution strategies.
• Ensures customer satisfaction with high-quality timely service.
• Monitors compliance with state/local regulatory requirements.
• Uses data analytics to track performance and identify trends.
• Communicates with senior leadership and drives organizational objectives.
• Escalates severity matters appropriately.
