Job summary

CNA Insurance is seeking a senior claims professional to manage the most complex, highest exposure mass tort claims with national scope. You will oversee coverage determinations, investigations, and resolution strategies, including negotiations and coordination with outside counsel.

Ideal candidates will have a strong background in commercial insurance, expert policy language knowledge, and a track record in leading complex negotiations and settlements.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of commercial insurance industry and policy language.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for senior leadership.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and litigation coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess coverage obligations and prepare written determinations.
• Manage inventory of highly complex claims with multi-year exposure.
• Drive settlements and coordinate with counsel on complex litigation.
• Set reserves considering coverage, liability and damages.
• Present high-exposure matters to senior leadership and counsel.
