Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Director, Commercial Lines to lead national operational performance for Commercial P&C and agency workflows. The role partners with divisional leadership to standardize processes, optimize efficiency, and support growth across the brokerage.

The ideal candidate has 5–7+ years in commercial lines operational leadership at a large brokerage, holds an active P&C license, and designations (CPCU/CIC) are strongly preferred; EPIC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent).
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership experience within a large insurance brokerage or agency.
• Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
• Experience with workflow standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Commercial Lines initiatives with regional leadership to strengthen operations, service delivery, and performance.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions to improve efficiency and quality.
• Establish standardized Commercial Lines workflows, procedures, and best practices across the organization.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce variation.
• Evaluate issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions for sustainable improvements.
• Analyze staffing and workload to create capacity plans supporting growth and excellence.
• Collaborate with Managed Services to align resources with goals.
• Provide guidance on agency operations, workflows, systems, and best practices in Commercial P&C.
• Support M&A integration through operational assessments and workflow alignment.
• Build strong partnerships with producers, operations, and leadership for effective implementation.
