Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Director, Commercial Lines to lead national Commercial P&C operations, standardize workflows, and guide strategic initiatives with senior leadership. Ideal candidate: 5–7+ years of commercial lines operational leadership at a large brokerage, active P&C license, CPCU and/or CIC designation preferred, strong change leadership.

This role partners across producers and operations to drive efficiency, support M&A integration, leverage EPIC, and deliver

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty License required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation preferred.
• 5–7+ years of commercial lines operational leadership experience in a large brokerage/agency.
• Expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
• Demonstrated experience with workflow standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing sustainable process improvements.
• Strong workforce planning, capacity modeling, and resource management experience.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration initiatives.
• Applied EPIC experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
• Proven ability to influence leaders and drive results in a highly matrixed organization.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Commercial Lines strategy with regional leadership.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions.
• Standardize workflows and best practices across the organization.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to boost productivity and quality.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Plan staffing and capacity to support growth.
• Align Managed Services resources with organizational goals.
• Provide national Commercial P&C expertise on operations and systems.
• Support merger and acquisition initiatives through integration planning.
• Collaborate with producers and leadership to drive initiatives.
• Promote EPIC usage and technology optimization.
• Track performance via metrics and BI to guide decisions.
