Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Director, Commercial Lines to lead national Commercial P&C operations, standardize workflows, and guide strategic initiatives across the brokerage. The role drives efficiency, service quality, and profitability while partnering with senior leadership and operations teams.

The ideal candidate has 5–7+ years in Commercial Lines leadership, active P&C licensing, CPCU/CIC designations, and strong change-management and stakeholder skills.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent).
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership experience in a large insurance brokerage or agency.
• Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
• Experience with workflow standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing sustainable process improvements.
• Strong workforce planning, capacity modeling, and resource management experience.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration initiatives.
• Applied EPIC experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute initiatives that strengthen Commercial Lines operations and performance.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions to improve efficiency and client outcomes.
• Establish and promote standardized Commercial Lines workflows and best practices.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce variation.
• Evaluate operational issues and implement corrective actions for sustainable improvements.
• Analyze staffing models and service demands to develop capacity plans.
• Collaborate with Managed Services to align resources with goals.
• Provide guidance on agency operations, workflows, and systems.
• Support M&A integration initiatives through assessment and planning.
• Build partnerships with producers, operations, and leadership to drive initiatives.
• Promote EPIC utilization and other technology to improve performance.
• Lead change management to adopt new processes and practices.
• Maintain advanced industry and leadership expertise through development.
