Job summary

Insurance Office of America seeks a Director/VP, Commercial Lines to lead national operations, serving as a subject matter expert in Commercial Property & Casualty insurance and agency operations. The role partners with regional leaders to standardize processes, optimize workflows, and scale operations while supporting producers, account teams, and leadership in delivering exceptional client service.

The ideal candidate holds an active P&C license, CPCU/CIC designation (or equivalent), and 5–7+

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation preferred.
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership in a large brokerage/agency.
• Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, and optimization.
• Experience with workflow standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Commercial Lines strategy with regional leadership.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions.
• Establish standardized Commercial Lines workflows and best practices.
• Lead process improvements to increase productivity and reduce variation.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze staffing, workloads, and capacity plans for growth.
• Align Managed Services resources with organizational goals.
• Provide guidance on agency operations, workflows, and systems (EPIC).
• Support M&A integration through operational assessments and planning.
• Collaborate with producers, operations, and leadership to drive initiatives.
• Promote effective use of systems and tech to improve performance.
• Utilize metrics and BI to evaluate organizational effectiveness.
• Lead change adoption of new processes and workflows.
• Maintain ongoing professional development in the field.
