Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Director, Commercial Lines to drive national operations, standardize workflows, and lead transformation initiatives. Fully remote work is preferred within Central Time Zone hours, with on-site expectations possible for some locations.

The role partners with senior leadership to enhance client service, efficiency, and profitability across the Commercial P&C practice. The ideal candidate holds an active P&C license, CPCU/CIC designation, and 5–7+ years in

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation preferred.
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership experience in a large insurance brokerage or agency.
• Strong expertise in agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
• Experience with workflow standardization and continuous improvement.
• Experience with root cause analysis and sustainable improvements.
• Workforce planning and capacity modeling experience.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration.
• EPIC experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and change leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Commercial Lines strategy with leadership to improve operations and performance.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions.
• Establish standardized workflows and best practices across the organization.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to increase productivity and quality.
• Evaluate issues and implement corrective actions for sustainable improvements.
• Analyze staffing models and workload to develop capacity plans.
• Coordinate with Managed Services to align resources with goals.
• Provide guidance on agency operations, workflows, and systems.
• Support merger and acquisition integration through assessments and planning.
• Collaborate with producers and leadership to drive engagement and results.
• Promote EPIC usage and technology optimization.
• Utilize metrics and BI to evaluate effectiveness and drive changes.
• Lead change management and professional development efforts.
• Champion IOA values in all interactions.
