Job summary

Sanity.io is seeking a Director of Cloud Infrastructure to own platform foundations across cloud, Kubernetes, networking, observability, CI/CD, and deployment strategies. You will drive architectural decisions, cost discipline, and incident readiness at scale.

You will lead teams delivering reliable services, partner with product and security teams, and mentor senior engineers. This role requires deep technical expertise and strategic thinking, with responsibility across Europe or North America.

Qualifications

Proven track record leading large-scale infrastructure teams.
Experience building and operating production platforms in cloud environments.
Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, cloud providers, and IaC tooling.
Demonstrated ability to drive incident response and production readiness.

Responsibilities

Set infrastructure strategy for scaling and reliability across cloud, networking, and observability.
Lead teams responsible for shared foundations (GCP projects, clusters, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
Define the line between Platform ownership and SRE ownership.
Raise the reliability bar with dashboards, paging standards, and on-call readiness.
Make deployment boring with golden paths, safe rollouts, and automation.
Partner with Product, Engineering, Security, Support, Sales, and Customer Success on infrastructure work that impacts customers.
Own cloud cost discipline and budgeting across teams.
Shape multi-region architecture, data residency, and trust/compliance requirements.
Hire and coach infrastructure leaders and engineers.
